Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This policy explains how DominicanSources handles the information you give us when you submit our lead form on LinkedIn. It covers what we collect, why, who it reaches, how it moves across borders, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

DominicanSources (DominicanSources.com) is a business-to-business sourcing service operated by Arturo Peguero as a sole proprietor, based in the Dominican Republic. We help international buyers source from vetted Dominican Republic exporters.

For anything in this policy, including questions, requests, or complaints about your data, you can reach us at arturo@dominicansources.com. We are the party responsible for the information described here (the data controller). We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, which is not required at our scale.

2. What we collect

When you submit our lead form on LinkedIn, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your company
  • Your job title
  • Your work email address
  • Your answer to one question: what product and volume you are sourcing, and into which market

You provide this information directly when you complete the form. LinkedIn pre-fills most of these fields from your LinkedIn profile, and you confirm or edit them before submitting. We do not collect anything beyond the fields listed above.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your information for two purposes: to respond to the sourcing inquiry you submitted, and to follow up with you by email about how DominicanSources can help with that inquiry.

Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to and following up on commercial inquiries that you, acting in a professional capacity, choose to send us. Because you submitted the form yourself, following up about exactly what you asked is within your reasonable expectations.

We rely on a separate legal basis, your explicit consent, for transferring your data internationally. That is explained in section 5.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to operate, and they process your information on our behalf:

  • LinkedIn, which hosts the lead form and passes your submission to us
  • Brevo, which we use for email
  • Google Workspace, which we use for email and storage

These providers act on our instructions. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

5. International data transfers

DominicanSources operates from the Dominican Republic and uses service providers located in the United States (LinkedIn, Google, and Brevo). When you submit the form, your information is transferred to and processed in these countries.

The Dominican Republic and the United States are outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, and are not currently covered by a European Commission or UK adequacy decision. This means they may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. We rely on your explicit consent for this transfer, under Article 49(1)(a) of the GDPR and UK GDPR.

You give this consent when you tick the transfer-consent box on our lead form, having been informed of the risk above. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing arturo@dominicansources.com, though this will not affect processing that already took place.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your inquiry data for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, after which we delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can also object at any time to our using your data for direct-marketing follow-up, and we will stop.

You can withdraw the transfer consent described in section 5 at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email arturo@dominicansources.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at arturo@dominicansources.com so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge and respond to your concern.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). In the EU it is the supervisory authority in your country, for example the Garante in Italy, the AEPD in Spain, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, the CNPD in Portugal, or your relevant federal or state authority in Germany.

9. California and Canada residents

If you are a California resident: the categories of personal information we collect and our purposes are described above. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You can request access to or deletion of your information using the email below.

If you are a Canadian resident: you can contact us at the same email with any access, correction, or deletion request, and with any privacy concern.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the latest version. For any question about this policy, contact us at arturo@dominicansources.com.
