Soursop, also known as guanábana, has a fresh DR harvest window of April through September, with white pulp that is slightly acidic and rich in antioxidants, packed in 8–10 kg boxes. Global demand concentrates in juice, ice-cream, smoothie, and functional-beverage manufacturing plus wellness and natural-foods retail (Tridge). **US buyers should read the next point before anything else: fresh soursop from the Dominican Republic is not on the USDA APHIS list of authorized fruit-and-origin pairs, so it cannot currently be imported into the United States as fresh fruit.** APHIS operates a positive-list system, which means a fruit-and-origin pair is prohibited unless it has been affirmatively authorized. Verify any origin against ACIR before committing to a program. We supply this line for destinations where it is admissible, and we will tell you plainly when a lane does not exist.

The fresh DR harvest window runs April through September. Volumes vary by farm and season, so confirm current availability with your supplier before placing orders.
USDA APHIS authorizes fresh soursop from Grenada, and from Mexico since October 2024 with mandatory irradiation. The Dominican Republic is not on that list. Under a positive-list system, absence is the prohibition, and no separate ban is needed.
Fresh DR fruit does carry a 0% US rate under CAFTA-DR, and buyers routinely read that as clearance. It is not. Duty comes from the tariff schedule; admissibility comes from APHIS. A commodity can be duty-free and still inadmissible.
Commodity, origin and destination are verified together before a price is issued. If a lane does not legally exist we say so and name the origins that are authorized, rather than quoting into it.
